Polyps are fleshy growths of the inner lining of organs
They can occur in a variety of bodily sites like in the colon, in the nasal sinuses, or even in the gallbladder. In gynecology, the polyps are usually located in the uterus or in the cervix
WHERE DO THEY DEVELOP
Uterine polyps arise from the endometrium, the inner lining of the uterus or from the cervix, the mouth of the womb and rarely from the vaginal wall.
