HOW DO I KNOW THAT I HAVE HEAVY PERIOD

You should consider it heavy period if
you are changing pads every 1-2 hours, or
bleed through pads, or
to double up with two pads or a pad plus a tampon.
you miss work or school as a result of your period.
you rearrange your activities because of heavy bleeding.
you often soil clothes, sheets, or furniture during your period.
If you have these symptoms and want to discuss it further then kindly fill in the online form  or book an appointment.

WHY DO I NEED TO SEE A GYNAECOLOGIST

Often, fibroids, polyps or other causes of heavy periods can be diagnosed and corrected.
Occasionally, the underlying problem can be serious.
Also, heavy periods frequently cause anemia, which may make women feel short of breath, fatigued, and generally lousy; anemia is easily treated with iron supplementation.
Harley Street Gynaecology  invites you to see us in consultation. We have the expertise to identify any underlying problems, and to offer you a range of effective treatment options  that is suitable for you.

A variety of safe and effective treatment options are available which can markedly reduce menstrual flow and meaningfully improve quality of life.
